July Update

Its been over a year since I´ve been home now and its actually kind of hard to believe.  Sometimes it feels like it has been longer and other days it feels like it was yesterday.  It looks like that I will be coming back to US soil sometime late September for a visit and hopefully I will be able to send in Hebert´s paperwork so that he will be in the US to visit you all soon.

Hebert and I have been incredibly busy getting everything together for our upcoming mission trips this summer.  Please be praying for these trips, for the church members going with us, and for the people we will be working with.

Next week we leave for Cabimas to help interpret for a team of Americans coming from Dallas, TX.  Shortly after that we leave to the mountains of Venezuela with the youth from our church for youth camp.  Then we head to the state of Portuguesa in Venezuela for a week in early August.  In early September we will go to the state of Guayana to help in their efforts to plant ten new churches.  Please pray for safe travel and for God´s guidance as well!

Due to internet problems I have not been able to upload pictures on to the blog, but if you have my facebook account you will be able to see pictures from our week working with First Baptist Church of Alpharetta.  For any updates with Bread of Hope ministries please see their website.

This Sunday is Children´s Day in Venezuela.  Its sort of like Christmas because its a day especially for the kids when they receive presents and do special activities.  Through Bread of Hope we will be able to provide a nice breakfast for all of the children who come to service on Sunday.  We will also have clowns, balloons, puppets, games, and crafts for the kids in the whole community in the afternoon.  Please be praying for Children´s Day as well!

Love yáll!
