Our new place!

Hebert and I recently moved to a new house that the church is providing for us.  Its a block away from church and its located at the water purification plant, so you can't really beat the location, especially if you're a gringa in constant need of purified water.  Where we live is part of an older house, so we spent months working and renovating the place.  We put a lot of work into it, but it was well worth it in the end.  We have a lot more room than before.  We now have an extra bedroom and a living room.  However, my favorite thing about our house is our carolina blue walls...which is a "subtle" reminder of home and my alma mater.  Below, I have some photos of our house, for security concerns I can't put a lot of photos online. 

 This is the city of Maracaibo, Venezuela.  We live a little bit outside of this downtown area.  Its the 2nd largest city in Venezuela.

I've also enjoyed the fact that I have a lime tree and a mango tree outback, making one of my lifetime dreams true (I've always wanted a mango tree in my backyard).

We love the new place especially since we are now living in the community that we're working with.  Its a lot easier for us to be more involved at church and care for our friends and family around us.  Recently, we've been able to start a lot of new projects - we're doing monthly missions services, missions training, and we're starting an evangelization group doing stilts, mimes, dances, puppets, and drama.

 For our service we released balloons with tracts in honor of North Korea.  In China, they release thousands of tracts in balloons to North Korea to reach people in the highly-restricted country.

So, our new place has definitely been a blessing for our ministry and we're looking forward to what the year ahead brings!
